Inventory and Forecast Report The Center for Climate Strategies (CCS) prepared a preliminary assessment of Kansas’ greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and anthropogenic sinks (carbon storage) from 1990 to 2025 for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Kansas Energy and Environmental Planning (KEEP) Advisory Group. The inventory and reference case projection (forecast) estimates serve as a starting point to assist the State, as well as the KEEP Advisory Group and Technical Work Groups (TWGs), with an initial comprehensive understanding of Kansas’ current and possible future GHG emissions. This information informs the identification and analysis of policy options for mitigating GHG emissions. This preliminary draft report is being reviewed by the KEEP Advisory Group and TWGs and will be revised, as needed, to address comments approved by the KEEP Advisory Group. Click on the link below for a copy of the draft report containing this preliminary assessment of Kansas’ GHG emissions. The draft report will be revised, and a final version that incorporates the revisions approved by the KEEP Advisory Group, will be posted on this Web page toward the end of the KEEP Advisory Group's process.
